Hi, my names Abbie
Here at Moore sports massage & Pt Ltd, we believe in progression and development, we believe in looking after our clients.
Meet Abbie, a fresh upcoming boxer, located in the Derbyshire area. We are the very proud sponsers of this really talented individual. Its a pleasure to know, work alongside and help Abbie with her future development.
Abbie is a real credit to the boxing community, but also all the people that come into contact with her.
This is a little bit about Abbie and her journey so far........
"I started boxing back in February 2022, this was when i signed up for the ultra white collar boxing. At the time i was over 100kg, completely inactive and unable to do most exercise. The only reason i signed up in the first place was because my sister didn't want to do the experience on her own. My sister was my strength.
Since this experience i have fallen in love with the sport, to the point i can not seem to go a day without it.
I have since committed to a 5 day training programme, were you will mostly find me in the boxing gym.
December 2022, i had moved on to fight for fun 4 all boxing gym in the unlicensed scene. My first two fights were at derby and looking back, i still was not the fittest, or best i could of been. In may 2023 i was offered a title fight, which had given me the kick i needed to up my training regime further. I continued boxing 5 days a week, however, added in strength training and was out running 6 days a week, which has lead to early morning, out on the road, before work.
Unfortunately i came up short on the end result of the fight, despite this i still maintained my fitness regime to this day.
Since then i have continued to carry on fighting within this scene, my last fight was at Nottingham motor point arena to a girl who had over 100 fights.
After this experience, as i felt myself getting fitter, stronger and my skill set improving, i decided to take my boxing journey to the next level and turned amateur. This was a lot more intense than i was used to before, however i was committed to the challenge.
My first bout was with a girl who had been fighting a lot longer than me, it was in the final of the international belts tournament. I soon found out that it was even tougher than anything i have ever done before, so what did i do?....i worked even harder at my training regime.....
This time i carried on with my now regular routine, however i started to put a PT session into the mix, just to help with my technique.
2025, i decided to keep going, i decided i was going to compete in the William Wallace cup box cup in Scotland against the same girl as previously, who had over 100 fights, on both occasions i did not quite get the result i wanted, however on this occasion i managed to come a lot closer than i have before.
Since these experiences i have taught myself to start turning my negatives, into fuel that is going to make me succeed.
My Coach is amazing, i have a lot to thank him for. Every fight offered from him, i am quick to take, as i trust his judgement, and all i want is to do my trainer, myself, my family and the gym i train at very proud.
In May 2025 i succeeded with gaining sponsorship from Moore sports massage & pt. Ltd, but also Vision Aesthetics & skin Ltd to help with my further future growth and goals."
Abbie. x
